Jessica has served as the MPP for University Rosedale since 2018, and is the Official Opposition Critic for Housing. She has been our local champion, advocating for affordable housing, improved healthcare, better schools, and bold action on climate change.
Prior to being elected, she served as the founding Executive Director of TTCriders, winning better service and lower fares for Toronto transit riders.
Previously, she was a lecturer at Toronto Metropolitan University, the director of the California Food & Justice Coalition and an effective advocate for environmental justice for some of North America's most high profile and effective advocacy organizations. She’s received several leadership awards, including Toronto Community Foundation’s Vital People Award and GreenPAC's political endorsement in 2018 for her environmental work.
Jessica is a lifelong community organizer who believes in the power of bringing people together to create real and lasting change. She lives in University-Rosedale with her partner and two children.
